About

Silke has a master's degree in cultural geography. She graduated from the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen with a thesis on migration and gender before joining the research project “Future for refugees in rural regions of Germany” in 2018.



Current work and research interests

Since 2020 she is working at Bielefeld School of Education (BiSEd) conducting qualitative studies on the challenges and capability of migrant teachers’ reintegration into the German school system.



Mostly looking forward to working in ITTS, because…

I appreciate the fruitful and diverse international exchange and am eager to hear about the different experiences and perspectives of the partners.
