About
Mihaela Brumen, University of Maribor, Slovenia
PhD in Language Education. I used to teach languages to young learners at the local primary school.
Current work and research interests
I’m a lecturer and teacher trainer at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, where I teach TESOL Methodology Courses to pre-service and in-service teachers. My research interests are focused on language learning and teaching (pre-primary and primary level), multilingual and intercultural competence, content and language integrated learning (CLIL) and learner autonomy. I’m interdisciplinary-oriented. I have participated in projects related to languages, ICT, visual arts and psychology.
Mostly looking forward to working in ITTS, because…
… we will develop materials for international teachers with a migrant background, will meet new colleagues from Europe, compare new educational systems, guide and assist mentors to provide their inclusion in our school systems.
