Current work and research interests

University teacher - Full Professor for Art Education, (original habilitation title in Slovenia: Special didactics – the field of visual art), Department of primary education, University of Maribor, Faculty of Education.

  • Lectures and other pedagogical activities at 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bologna degrees,

  • Mentor for students from bachelor to Ph.D. thesis

  • Development of art creativity and art appreciation by pupils in preschool and primary school

  • Development of programs for art talented pupils in primary school

  • Organizing, planning and implementation of pedagogical praxis for student of art education and primary education,

  • Scientific and professional activities (publishing articles, monographies, manuals, textbooks);

  • Editor in chief – Journal of Elementary Education



Mostly looking forward to working in ITTS, because…

Developing new strategies in the context of interculturalism, meeting new colleagues and teachers, other cultures, new teacher strategies and implementation of results into practice in different countries.
