What is ITTS?
The European project ITTS International Teachers for Tomorrow’s School – System Change as an Occasion for Intercultural School Development and Mutual Learning aims to support the professional re-integration of international teachers and teachers with a refugee background.
Why?
Cultural diversity is an essential feature of school landscapes all across Europe, but the professional re-integration of international teachers, including refugee teachers, is fraught with many challenges. ITTS wants to support international teachers in a strength-oriented way and to enable schools to integrate new colleagues in the sense of an intercultural opening of schools.
-
How?
- International teachers are strengthened through resource-oriented approaches.
- International teachers, mentors and school administrators are able to critically reflect on their ideas of school normality and to derive changes in everyday practices.
- The thematic concerns of the project are anchored in formats of teacher training and further education.
- A country analysis and materials for various target groups will be developed.
